Ahead of next Sunday's performance of [kiss] at the Yard Theatre in London, curator of the ddmmyyseries - and composer - Jack Sheen got in touch to chat about the piece and my recent work in general. Jack has painstakingly transcribed our Skype chat for you to read here, so a huge shout out to him for all his work on this. Making sense of me is no small task.
It's a bit of a read. Our conversation wandered into all sorts of territories, which I hope are interesting. A lot of talk about tendencies and behaviours, as you might expect. But more to come on that when I get around to writing a post about my new piece for solo quarter-tonal flugelhorn (with preparations), [terrains]. Hopefully I'll get that out in the next week or so...
